Congratulations to all who were able to give alms to the poor and needy in your community.
I heard powerful stories of how Eagles were led to give to the truly needy.
One Eagle walked past a homeless man.
Then she was quickened in her spirit to turn around and look closely at the man.
She did.
At that moment the face of the man appeared to him like the face of Jesus.
She stopped in her tracks...
... walked back and stretched out her hand to give him some money.
At that instant the man who had appeared to be sleeping suddenly opened his eyes.
Looked intently at her and said:
God bless you!
What a way to lay up treasures in heaven.
Matt 6:19-21:
“Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust
destroy and where thieves break in and steal;
but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth
nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal.
