I have been praying Elisha’s prayer points since August 2012 the time I joined. 
My life has just been improving gradually. Previously, I was very stressed with
 a lot of debt and confusion in my life. 

I used to dream very bad bad dreams etc. waters, animals. But all vanished. 
I had a lot of debt. All gone. I am debt-free. One thing I have also noticed is 
that God has given me wisdom to handle my finances well.

His son Alan is trying to write college essays for applications to get into college next year.

And he complained of having writer's block.

He said he couldn't think of anything to write.

And Dad asked him . . . "did you ever hear the lumberjack story?"

And he said, "no."

So, Dad told him this story.

There's a lumberyard, and there were these lumberjacks deep in the forests of Oregon chopping down trees.

And every year the lumberyard needs new workers for the season.

The workers come from all over for the summer.

And they are all college athletes.

Most were football players, and these are huge.

Not only are they getting paid, but they could also get in shape by swinging an axe all day.

This was the perfect job.

So, after a few weeks, the boss calls everybody over, and he says ...

"We're going to give a big bonus of $1000 to whoever chops down the most trees today.

So, we're going to start at eight o'clock.

Then, everybody is going to take an hour break for lunch.

And then you're going to hear the bell ring at five o'clock.

Then, we'll tell you tomorrow who won the prize.

So everybody's geared up because these are all competitive guys.

And there are about twenty of them who were all college athletes.

And then there was Ralph, the old guy who was in his sixties.

Ralph's been working for the lumberyard for years.

Everybody discounted him.

Well, everybody starts swinging their ax, and the energy level is high.

And so, the old guy on the top of the hour would mosey on up to the shed and come back fifteen minutes later and start chopping again.

So, the young guys were laughing, and they said, "What a loser this guy is."

They're all chopping and chopping and then another hour later; they see the old guy go up to the shed again.

It's five o'clock, and everybody ends with a big spurt, and everybody thinks they won.

The next morning at eight o'clock, the boss calls everybody around, and he said...

"Ralph, come over here.

Here's your $1000.

You won!"

Everybody says, "Are you kidding me?"

Ralph was the old guy.

How could he win?

He was taking breaks every hour while everyone else was chopping off nonstop.

How could he chop down more trees with less work?"

And one of the kids hollered to Ralph . . "Hey Ralph, what were you doing when you're going up to that shed?"

And Ralph said, "I might be old, but I'm smart.

I was doing something that not one of you college-educated boys were doing.

Every hour, I was sharpening my axe.
