"I prayed for 20 years but I received no answer until I prayed with my legs"

Published: Tue, 12/04/18

That's a quotation from Frederick Douglass.

He was born a slave in 1818.

He often said, "knowledge is the pathway from slavery to freedom."

So he taught other slaves on the plantation to read the New Testament at a weekly Sunday school.

One day he escaped from slavery to freedom.

How did he do it?

He prayed.

Beyond that...

He took strong action in the direction of his desire... FREEDOM.

And changed the nation and the world.

1 Cor.7:21 says:

Were you a slave when you were called? Don't let it trouble you-
-although if you can gain your freedom, do so. (NIV)

This Douglass guy sure knew his scriptures.

There is a school of thought out there that all you need to do is pray.

Then do nothing ... or very little.

In the mistaken belief that God will do everything.

That is NOT what we teach.

Prayer must be followed by inspired ACTION in the direction of your desire.

You are praying for a job? Then go out and look for a job.

And keep looking until you find the job or the job finds you.

(Whichever comes first).

Don't just sit there!

This years' Platinum Edition winds down shortly.

The Eagles participating will be given a righteous MANDATE...

... to go out and apply what they have learned to the hilt.

It is called the Platinum Project.

You should see the field reports that are coming in already.

Praise the LORD.

Back to Frederick Douglass.

He said: It is not light that we need, but fire; it is not the gentle shower, but thunder. We need the storm, the whirlwind, and the earthquake.

Here's to all the Eagles in the Forum:

It is time to go out and release thunder, whirlwind and earthquake with your prayers and inspired action.

your prayer and action must be joined at the hip.

As this year winds down, let's go out on a blaze of glory.
