"I have never experienced such thing in my whole entire life..
So I work in a nursing home as a housekeeper, (am praying to God for a job in my career path, Accounting)
This morning as I was in my usual errands doing my job, this patient got my world to a stand still
First of all when I entered his room, I was like no..am not gonna clean this room right now I'll come back after I clean the one next to it..
Then abt 20 mins later, I went to his room and noticed his sleeping position but didn't pay much attention..
cleaned his bathroom then on going back to clean his table,I realised that his legs were shaking, like kicking and stuff..
His hands were also tight and his whole body was shaking..like struggling to breathe and all.
Woooah, I panicked..went to inform one of the CNAs and guess what, she was like thank you am gonna be with him shortly..
My heart and mind was confused, I could not wait for her...sth kept making me feel so uncomfortable.
Rushed back to his room and found blood oozing from his mouth, ewoo!!
Body shaking profusely and he was struggling to breathe.
Rushed back to the nurses station, this time I was almost crying..I was like God you can't allow me to witness death in broad daylight.
I was confused, heart beating, goosebumps all over my body..met another nurse, told her the patient is freezing..blood is coming out of his
mouth and he needs immediate attention..
She panicked and in a second all the nurses, cnas and the one doctor rushed into his room.. with machines and some equipment.
I was like what should I do..sth reminded me of that girl in Prayer academy..then I was like okay, still what should I do?..all elishas prayers evaporated from my brain..ALL!
Didn't even think of getting my phone out for the prayers. My mind was that blocked.
Even the usual "oh great physician" prayer was nowhere. I found myself in one of the bathrooms, looked at myself in the mirror..
tears rolled out of my eyes and I was dumbfounded. I never witnessed such!
Suddenly I remembered the prayer on day 2 on wk1.
"thou power that divided the red sea, may you touch mr. xxxxx life in jesus name"
Then this next one came into mind..
"thou spirit that resurrected jesus from the dead, bring mr. xxxxx back to life in jesus name"
And last one..
"holy spirit incubate mr. xxxxx in jesus mighty name.. I sprinkle the blood of jesus in mr.xxxxx room"
I kept on alternating these prayers, moving up and down the bathroom, crying telling God you cannot allow me to witness this, may you resurrect him
Then on going into another room this lady 83yrs old, asked me 'did sb pass away?
Looking onto mr. xxxxx room I saw that they came for him ready to put him in one of those beds they put unconscious/dead people
and I also saw a white bedsheet then I was like oh well I think he's dead
Then I asked her why did you ask me that? She told me she heard the medical team saying DNR, DNR (didn't know what that means)
Then she explained that it means do not resuscitate and they usually say that when the patient is already dead
I was like, maybe his time had come to be with the Lord, or I may have been too late to come to his rescue.
This lady came next to me and I asked her if he's dead then she said NO.. infact his eyes are open and he's conscious.
He's just being taken to the hospital to see what the matter was
You cannot describe how I feel. The 83 yr old and I shed some tears when I told her the whole story.
I wonder what would have happened if God (I strongly believe) did not lead me to that room at that particular time.
Pls when you pray keep Mr. xxxxx in your prayers. God is good."
