Thank You

Ruby made just one tiny mistake
(I'll show you in a second).

She says:

I'd like to thank you for being our angel 
and teaching us how to pray.  I got to learn 
about you from my sister a few years back when 
I was going through marital problems.  

She gave me a few prayers from the prayer book
 for troubled relationships.  I had totally given 
up and was not even praying but immersed in deep 
depression and at a point of suicide.

My husband had left home. I went on a 21 day fast
with midnight prayers for the very first time in my life.  
A week after completing the fast, there was a knock at 
the door and there was my husband back home with all his 
belongings and very apologetic.  

This was just the beginning of the testimonies.

I then lost my job, I was given a months notice 
and told there was no work any more.  No retrenchment  
process was followed.  After serving the notice 
I prayed to God and took the matter to court.  

I prayed amongst other prayers"

'I claim the spirit of favor in my going out and coming in by the power in the blood of Jesus'
'I reject shame and reproach. I claim full term breakthroughs in the name of Jesus'
'Lord, single me out for miraculous provision in the Name of Jesus'

I went to court and won the case and got a good pay out.  
Praise the Lord.

This was not the end.  Several months later after winning
the case with the company, I was called back by the same company 
that I took to court to come and manage a project!  
I shocked my enemies and surprised my friends.  
People were asking me how did I manage to do this?  
I told them that God did it and He can do it for anyone.

Thank you Elisha, I have many more testimonies 
and will be sending them.  I will be joining the Prayer Academy soon.

So back to the one MISTAKE she's making.

It is this...

Thanking me over and over again.

Truth is: I feel uncomfortable about this.

Isaiah 42:8 is very instructive:

I am the LORD! That is my name! I will not share my glory 
with anyone else, or the praise due me with idols.


TRANSLATION:

You must always direct your "Thank You" to God and God alone.

Please take this seriously.

No one should thank me at all.

Only the LORD deserves to receive your thanks, 
because quite frankly He alone is the One making this
to happen.

He answers your prayers.

Fights your battles for you.

Showers His favor, mercy and compassion on you everyday.

So please honor Him with all your thanks, praise, and worship.

Do NOT thank elisha ... I'm just the messenger!

Now, back to her testimony.

BEFORE she started praying...

She was in deep depression and thinking of suicide
(I have thousands of this type of story in my inbox).

AFTER the prayers...

She heard a knock on the door.

There was the husband... full of apologies!

Many believers today are going through hell on earth
in their marriages.

But are they WILLING to inconvenience themselves and pray...
according to instruction?

Please permit me to be blunt.

Here's what I tell anyone who needs restoration,
not just in marriage but in any other area of their lives:

Let nothing, absolutely nothing, interfere 
with immediate action.

A change for the better justifies no delay.

Don’t just watch others share testimonies
which you too can share.

Be up and doing NOW.

Some other time may be too late.
