An ugly reason for unanswered prayer.
You've heard the saying:
“Give a man a fish, feed him for a day,
teach him to fish, feed him for life.”
That sounds really nice, but how does that
play out in real life?
First, this true-life story
just hit my inbox (the sender shall remain
anonymous).

"I once joined Prayer Academy and God was moving in my life.
The devil attacked me and I didn't see it coming but God spoke
to me but I didn't listen and I'm suffering consequences.
I was with a friend attending a prayer service for the
weekend when she suggested that we must visit another pastor;
the Spirit of the Lord said NO but I went cos I didn't want
to disappoint my friend.
The long and short of my story, it turned out he was not
a pastor by a leader of the occult. certain rituals were
performed & I drank a concoction; ever since then my life has
been hell; its been 3 months now I can't sleep with my husband
cos when we are intimate something comes out of my private organ
& takes over.
During day & night its moving in my private organ and its
painful & disgusting. I have been prayed for and separated
myself from the dark world but with no avail. GOD has
strengthened me this week; I was too depressed. Which program
can I start, what can I do? my womb is not in a healthy state,
everything is messed up its like I'm loosing my mind..."

I can feel for her.
This is so sad.
So I'm going to explain a bit here.
Hopefully, no one falls into the same trap.
I checked her record and found she indeed
signed up for the Prayer Academy in March 2014.
Right away I see that she didn't complete the
program according to the instructions.
Here I must take some blame.
Because at the time, we didn't have a Members' Forum
set up where someone could go when discouraged...
... to find others who could uphold her in prayer,
or even share experiences, tips and advice that could
help avoid pitfalls and traps like the one she fell in.
Thankfully, the LORD gave us a solution in 2015 when
He showed us the technology to use in setting up such
a Forum.
Today when eagles log in, they are pleasantly surprised
to see others discussing the very issues on their minds, and offering

solutions, prayers and prophetic words that speak directly
to their situation.
There is now a Forum for each program. For instance, the last
Forum opened for the Gates of Fire program has over 32,000
comments and counting.
And there's intercessory prayers going on there 24 hours
a day, 7 days a week.
Now back to this sister...
There are 2 traps to be aware of:
Trap #1:
Many so-called "prophets' out there have merely
wrapped ancient witchcraft practices in a gospel package
in order to sell to unsuspecting people.
Trap #2:
On the internet, you find a lot of secular humanism / new age teachings
disguised and repackaged as gospel messages also being pitched to many.
This sister fell into Trap #1.
The result is that the devil has succeeded in planting
serpents into her life. That's what's moving around her body.
Notice that nobody forced her to do this.
She willingly went to the dining table of the devil.
Here's what she should do:
1. Take a 3-day Esther Fast and spend the entire time
in deep repentance (Psalm 51)
2. At the end of the 3-day fast, she should confess everything to her
husband (including the part she did not tell me) - James 5:16
3. She should take Steps 3,4,5 prayers as explained in

4. Then she should restart the Prayer Academy from lesson 1.
The LORD will help her in Jesus name.
Finally...
I can almost hear someone wondering why she even fell into
the trap in the first place, given the type of prayers
and teachings here.
Remember the Bible says:
Therefore let him who thinks he stands take
heed that he does not fall. - I Cor 10:12

So we need to pray for her.
And many others who are being
manipulated by these "prophets."

You can now see the reason why you need to
become your own 'personal' prophet.
Remember the saying about being given a fish?
The reality is that most modern believers
don’t want to learn to fish, they just want
to be given the fish.
That’s why so few churches teach their people
how to pray for themselves. They realize that Christians
today just want the blessings, they don’t want to
have to learn to pray the blessings down on their own.
So, most run after anyone promising them the fish,
never learning how to go and catch them.
But there is one area of life where the fish cannot be given
to you, and that is in the area of receiving answers to prayers.
If you want the LORD to answer your prayers, you must learn to pray.
You cannot receive answers to prayers any other way.
Even if a "super-anointed" person prophesied and prayed for you,
and you received the answers, you still need to learn how to pray
and SUSTAIN the blessings ...
... otherwise they will one day develop wings and fly away.

Praying effectively is a skill. Every believer can learn it.
You cannnot have it given to you, you cannot buy it.
Once you learn it, no one can steal it from you, not even at
gunpoint.
In the Body of Christ today (plus Internet and social media),
you hear a lot of talk about prayer.

Yes, discussing prayer IS a lot of fun.
But actually waking up at the midnight hour to pray
is usually not.
I'll be the first to tell you that developing the skills
of a prayer eagle IS hard.
That's why most places don't bother to teach it.
But that's the mandate we've been given.
And with the help of the Holy Spirit, we're doing it daily.
In these blistering emails.
In the Prayer Academy.
In the Eagles' Forum.
There's light at the end of the tunnel.

but faced many resistance to be employed. This battle had been going on since 29 June 2016).
Starting work on 16 January 2017 (today).
