Don't laugh, I was once in her shoes

Subscriber EF just sent an email that gave me pause.


She says:


"I am losing faith in God. All this struggle am going through, 
am fighting and fighting and cant find any answer. I notice 
people who don't pray to Jesus, they are well-off n having lot 
of posh life, me all my life am praying and am still living a 
poor life. how long, how long, God will see me like this. 
I am a mum who struggling hard to raise my child, can't find 
money to survive...

Am separated from my husband since 5 years, he is enjoying his 
life and don't take any responsibility for our little child, 
he never cares, he never give a penny and am still struggling, 
he is running away from his responsibility. how long how long 
I keep on asking. where is god, why god can't do anything..."

I really feel for her. Believe it or not, there was a 
time I almost lost faith in God too! It seemed I had more
problems than one person could handle.

Unknown to me at the time, God was training my hands to 
war and my fingers to fight. Thankfully, He did not allow me 
to give up... even as things went from bad to worse.

If I had given up, you'll probably not be reading this now.

As I thought of what to do with the email from EF, the Holy 
Spirit nudged me to check up on her record. She came across 
the website February 1, 2012. What brought her to the site was
her marital/financial problems.

4 years later her problems have only gotten worse. 

I double-checked. In all that time, she had not joined a 
single prayer program. Assuming she could not afford to, 
there is no indication in any of her emails to me (I counted 55) 
that she ever took my advice to find a Bible-based deliverance 
ministry in her community and run herself through deliverance.

I wish I could just say a few words and all her problems 
will disappear. But that's not how it works.

Prayer is HARD WORK. Especially the kind of prayer that 
brings answers. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

But the rewards - in terms of answered prayers - 
make this whole thing worthwhile. The testimonies 
that came in June alone were outstanding.

Praise the LORD.

Talking about "hard work" prayer, those participating 
in the Singles Forum are having a dose of it ...

... and loving it (going by the fascinating 
conversations in the chat room).

Today, July 1st, they begin a very unusual session. It will 
last for one week.

Because I do not want them to be distracted at all, the 
monthly 7 Furious Prayers will NOT be sent out this month.

I want them to FOCUS on that assignment 100 percent.

This is advance notice:

Everyone in the 24-Hour Blog get ready. As soon as 
the unusual 1-week session for the singles is done, we'll launch
a full-scale prayer assault inside the 24-Hour Blog...

First half of the year is gone. We're now in the second half.

Bible says:


"See that you refuse not him that speaks. For if they escaped not 
who refused him that spoke on earth, much more shall not we escape, 
if we turn away from him that speaks from heaven: Whose voice then 
shook the earth: but now he has promised, saying, Yet once more I 
shake not the earth only, but also heaven. And this word, Yet once 
more, signifies the removing of those things that are shaken, as of 
things that are made, that those things which cannot be shaken may 
remain. - Heb 12:25-27
