Am I doing the right thing "pushing" believers 

 to wake up at midnight to pray for themselves...

 ... instead of taking all their prayer requests and doing
 the prayers for them?

  Email #1 - Received 17 August 2012


"Dear Elisha,

Greetings from *******. I stumbled on your website
 late July, 2012 by the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Since then, I have been praying most of the prayer you
sent to me through the lessons and testimonies. I have
the following challenges:

1.  I have been unemployed for the 2 years, I desperately
 need a very good job.

2. I am indebted to the tune of $7,250, I need divine intervention.

I need help and I know that is the reason the Holy Spirit
 led me to your site. Please advise me on what to do."

Email #2 - Received 10 January 2013

*** The Gates of Employment Have Opened ***

"I am giving this testimony to the glory of God and
shame of the devil. This testimony will surprise my friends
 and shock my enemies.

I have been without a proper job for about two and
half years. Life has been gruesome. By mid 2012, I came
across your website in a manner I now know was divinely guided.

I have prayed all the prayer points sent to me with fasting,
 including the Esther fast.

By mid October, 2012 I got a temporary job with an organization
 but lost it during the first week of December. One week after,
I was invited for an interview by the American Embassy in my country.

The interview process was concluded shortly before the
Christmas holidays. You can imagine my joy when the
Golden Journey Level 1 started.

I put my heart in it praying as if my life depended on it.
The God of Elisha did not allow the 14-day program to
finish before opening the gates of employment.

The US embassy called me and gave me an offer of appointment

It is like a dream. The pay package is more than 300% of
anything I have earned before. I am exceedingly thankful
to God for turning around my captivity and opening the
gates of 2013 for me.

Email #1 is a typical distress email. I receive thousands
of those every week.

Assuming my mandate was to go around praying on every
prayer request (and I assure you it is not), it would take me
over 100 years to pray on each of them effectively.

Email #2 is a typical victory email. We receive thousands
of these too.

Within 5 months, this brother has gone from victim to victor.

He is like a man who discovered gold in his own backyard.

He now knows how to solve all of life's problems - on his own.

Without running about looking for someone to give him
an anointed handkerchief or pour "holy" oil on his head.

Why?

Because he can now do it himself!

And he can do it anytime the devil rears his ugly head.

You know the old saying?

Give a man fish and you've fed him for a day.

Teach him to fish and you've fed him for all time.

Wouldn't you like to know how to fish for yourself?
