The 3 P's of Prayer

There are 3 pillars of effective prayer
taught in the Bible.

I call them the 3 P's of prayer...

A diligent application of these 3 P's
will bring you more answers in the next
2 months of this year ...

... than in the last 10 months put together.

See if you can spot the first P in the
two praise reports below:

"I'm in awe of what God is doing in my life
and many like me out there.

Some time in November 2009, I learnt that
my brother was going to face a panel
to decide his fate concerning his job.

I immediately called my brother and he told me
that the meeting was over and he had lost his job.

Sitting in my office I opened my book where
I write down the prayer points you send me
and started praying for the divine reversal
of the panel's decision.

I passionately prayed until I  felt that God
was going to surprise me with a positive answer.

AND YES JEHOVAH GOD DID SURPRISE ME.

In February 2010, he was called back
to a meeting by the panel, and he was given
his job back at higher position and higher salary.

What can't Jesus do?

May the name of the Lord be forever glorified."

Here's the next one.

"I have a friend whose marriage had hit the rock.

There was no communication and her husband
spent a lot of time in pubs and at work so
he didn't have time for his family.

We did Esther Fasting and on the 2nd day
of our fasting things started changing drastically.

Her husband would spend a lot of time in the house
and would inform her whatever he is intending to do.

I give God all the glory. I gathered all the prayer points
I have ever received from you and we were using them
during our fasting.

Elisha we serve God who is able. I told her
it won't take long she will see milk and honey
flowing in her marriage.

She thought that it could take forever but now
she is marvelled because her husband is back home.

She was nominated in her job as the best hardworking
person. She also got a bonus in her payslip of R2000.

We give God all the glory. God bless you Elisha
for this wonderful coaching."

In case you didn't notice, the first P is Persistence.

Prayer that moves mountains is NOT for
those who give up easily.

It is for those who are ready to switch off
the TV, ignore all distractions and...

... wake up at the midnight hour to fire
red-hot prayer arrows.

For as long as it takes.

And, God willing, that's what we'll be
doing at the NEXT Prayer Academy.
