My apologies if you've been trying
to access the blog without success.
I got this email early Thursday morning
from our webhosting company ...
... to the effect that the traffic to our
blog has completely crushed their servers:

Hey elisha,
"I've been having a server problem all morning, after working
with my support team for several hours, we finally figured out
that the problem is that your site is just getting too much traffic.
Now, I don't have any specific restrictions on how much traffic/
bandwidth I give to clients, however in this case, your site is simply
bringing the whole server (and all of the sites on it) down.
I temporarily disabled your domain and immediately everything
went back to normal, as soon as I turned it back on the usage levels
started to climb and within a few minutes the server once again halted.
Unfortunately, I'm going to have to ask you to move your site
off of my server. This is the first time, I've ever done this, but I can't
have all of the sites go down because of one single domain.
Lastly, I'm very sorry about this, please let me know if you need a hand
in moving your site over."
