 "The money was enough to pay all my debt - It was 7 times my current salary"  

"Elisha, you keep saying that ‘your testimony will surprise your friends and shock your enemies’, but this one surprised even myself. The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob did it for me.

For about 3 years, I had been asking a friend of mine working at the UN to help me get a job there. Weeks passed, nothing. Months passed, nothing. Years, nothing. 

All my applications didn’t even seem that they were being read even by the system. Meanwhile, she coached her husband to get a job within months of her being hired there, which is okay. 

I mean, family first, right? So I gave up asking her and went back to my usual work (also a testimony for another day).

At the time, I was doing my Masters - because most roles I was applying for required one -  and had piled up debt, because I was taking out loans to pay my fees. 

I was in so much debt that I was taking out one debt to pay another. I got tired of juggling debt. So I enrolled for the October Platinum Edition and prayed like a mad woman. 

This was the first program I had applied for since the Prayer Academy in 2014, so I remembered to do a refresher on the Prayer Academy too.

I was praying for a salary increase to enable me pay my debt, but God had something better in store.

At the tail end of Nov, having not been in communication with my friend for a while - because she had stopped picking or returning my calls - she called me. 

She informed me that she had fronted my name for a 6-day writing consultancy and someone would be in touch.

Sure enough, 2 hours later, someone was in touch and asked me to send my CV.

End of communication. The Friday before work was to start on Monday, I had not gotten communication on the way forward. 

By Monday evening, nothing. Tuesday still nothing. I continued praying, because I know the God who raised Lazarus from the dead after 4 days, may seem late, but is always on time. 

I remember praying,  I command every spirit of failure at the edge of breakthrough, die in the name of Jesus.

On Wednesday morning, a lady from the UN office called me, extremely annoyed that I did not show at the workshop.

I told her that I hadn’t received any communication. She hung up and called me back, extremely apologetic that my contract was waiting to be signed by a boss who was not in the office, but had already been approved. 

So I borrowed some cash and went for the conference.

This is where things start to move with speed. 

There was a load of paperwork to be signed, but since I needed to be at the conference, a UN representative did it on my behalf. Those who’ve had consultancies with the UN know that it is a long tedious process. 

A UN person guided me through the whole process. It was the smoothest story I’ve ever done. Before I could even finish the report, I was paid because they needed to close their financials for the year. 

They trusted that I could continue with the consultancy even after I got paid. The money was enough to pay all my debt to the bank, friends and family + fees for my next module and have a balance in my account. 

It was 7 times my current salary. Praise be to Jehovah.

Meanwhile, this whole time I thought my friend was pushing for me to get the job. I only found out later that she was on leave, preparing to move to the US where she had been promoted. 

After seeing what the Lord has done, my hubby is also interested in this prayers that bring instant results.
 

Now, missing a prayer edition is a thing of the past, because I know that what you get through prayer, can only be maintained through prayer. 

I'm now in the Sapphire program, believing God for some great things. I did the Esther Fast too by the grace of God, and the Mike's Examination Prayers."
