Lack of answers to prayers can be a matter of life and death.
 
I hate to be melodramatic, but everyday I read emails from people who feel like there is nothing to live for...
 
Because everything seems to have gone wrong for them.
 
Look at the 2 cases below.
 
In one case the cause was something you might think quite trivial –

"I AM DEPRESSED.
 
I have prayed, pleaded begged but nothing.
 
I feel like God mocks me. I ask for a job he gives me a good position in a company that can't pay me. i ask him for love he gives me a man that cheats on me with everything and anything.  
 
I feel numb. i feel betrayed and abandoned. He said he wont give us more than we can handle but he pushes me to consider suicide how much is too much for him? Honestly 
am mad at him."

=====
 
"I feel that even though God is blessing me in other aspects of my life, he seems not to hear me when I’m looking for a spouse.

I just finished three day Esther fast and was supposed to go 
on a partial fast for the next 4 days, but I have given up. God does not hear my prayers. Everyone is rejecting me. 

No man wants to be with me. I guess I was hoping for a miracle because I have gone full blown into this, but the results so far says otherwise, and I don’t have the strength to continue. I’m so sad sad sad sad."

I did a quick check on the writer of Email #1.
 
As far as I can tell, she has never participated in any of our prayer riots -- not even the f'reely available ones.
 
Same thing with Email #2.
 
By her own admission...
 
God has been blessing her in other aspects of life.

I suppose that includes finances. But she has  not considered it worthwhile to invest in her spiritual life.
 
She has never signed up for any of the prayer riots.
 
Without any deep teaching on holiness, prayer and the Word
of God, how can we be sure she is doing anything right?
 
Just as an example...
 
You will be surprised how many believers say they are
looking for their godly spouse but they are at the same
time engaging in fornication and adultery.
 
Since most churches hardly preach against sin anymore, how are they to know this one sin can stamp the mark of 
rejection indelibly on their forehead in the spirit?
 
Now we never fail to teach these things, no matter how unpleasant, in all our programs.
 
And the LORD stands behind these teachings ... to answers the prayers that follow.
 
For instance a simple prayer like this one can take care of the problem in Email #2 provided she is not living in sin.
 
"I wipe out every handwriting of rejection with the blood of Jesus."
 
That's not a 5-minute prayer, by the way.
