That's the subject of an email...
... that dropped into my inbox today.
First I checked the details of the writer.
She signed up for the Prayer Academy on April 30.
That tells me she can at least handle this simple, fast-action TAKE BACK strategy.
I said to her: DON'T PANIC
Your car will be recovered.
Just follow these simple steps.
Pulled directly from Acts 16.
One military strategist calls what I'm about to explain ...
"The Ordinary-Extraordinary Strategy"
Here's how it works.
But first some background.
When the enemies attack you, they expect you to react in a certain way - to conform to known human patterns and conventions.
Your task is to upset their expectations.
First do something ordinary and conventional.
Then hit them with the extraordinary, suddenly and unexpectedly.
Let's illustrate using Acts 16.
There you find the story of Paul and Silas.
Beaten and battered for casting out a demon in the ancient city of Philippi.
Then unceremoniously thrown into prison.
At that point the enemy expected them to start murmuring and complaining.
Or crying and begging for mercy.
(That's what most people would do).
None of that happened in the case of this dynamic duo of prayer warrior eagles.
Instead they calmly waited till the midnight hour.
The Bible says at that time they started to pray.
Then began to sing high praises unto the LORD.
Let me ask you:
Is that how people would normally react in such a trying situation?
Note that they were not singing under their breadth.
They were so loud and raucous that everyone in the prison heard them (that's a warfare tip).
Their prayer mingled with high praises unto the LORD was so strong it literally caused an earthquake!
The aftermath was not what the enemy expected at all.
Here's the biblical account:
And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one's bands were loosed. - Acts 16:26
That's the ordinary-extraordinary military strategy at work.
How can this sister apply it to her situation?
#1: No panic
#2: Organize her praise/worship carefully
#3: Wait till the midnight hour
At that time, she should invite the Holy Spirit and hand over control of the situation ...
... even as she rises up to dance and praise the LORD in a super aggressive manner.
When the time is ripe, she should begin to decree like this with holy fire in her voice:
1. Let the warfare angels of the LORD arise, arrest those who stole my car and force them to restore 7-fold by fire in the name of Jesus.
2. Let the hosts of Heaven arise, go on a search and recovery mission to the land of the living and the dead, to recover all my stolen properties in the name of Jesus.
At this level she should switch to speaking in tongues.
The Holy Spirit will guide her into even MORE prophetic decrees that will stampede the enemy into releasing what they have stolen...
... OR ELSE.
You may be wondering:
Or else what?
One of the best ways to deal with your spiritual enemies is to keep them from attacking you in the first place.
You do that by building up a reputation as a dangerous prayer eagle (what we call a VDP).
Let them see you as a little crazy. Like a mad prophet.
Let them decide that fighting you might be more expensive and costly for them to bear.
Because they are not sure what messing with you will really cost them, they will not want to find out.
Please note that this is not idle theory or theology.
The Holy Spirit led me to deploy this strategy this past February...
... when all of a sudden the enemy began to bombard me from every side.
After about a week of vicious attacks I was instructed to gather my weapons together and wait for the midnight hour.
Then swing into sudden and unexpected action.
By the time I fired off the first volley of prayer bullets I could hear panicky conversations in the spirit.
It turned out they were not expecting that level of warfare.
I don't know (or care) what happened to them but from that day I've not heard a pip from them.
Praise the LORD.
